Q&A

  • This is not your average diet to lose weight quick program, but that’s a good thing! Diets all work, but only for a short period of time and then you gain all of the weight back, sometimes even more, and you feel horrible. Diets also don’t address the root cause of what’s happening in your body that’s making you feel sluggish, bloated, anxious, etc. This is why you must be physically and psychologically prepared to commit to a lifestyle change. I encourage you to make as many meals at home as possible in the beginning,  but I will also help you make modifications and better choices to options when eating out or traveling. Every program starts with a 7-day cleanse to optimize your initial reset and put as many nourishing vitamins and minerals into your body as possible to initiate your transformation.

  • This program is not exclusively a weight loss program, although people who follow it with fidelity who have weight to lose will most likely be successful. Every person is unique so I can’t guarantee a specific amount, but healthy weight loss guidelines say 1-2 pounds per week and I believe that is possible for most clients, so 15-20 pounds is a healthy goal! That said, I personally lost over 70 pounds following this program and I believe the biggest indicator of your success will be your willingness to follow the program. 

    The most successful clients do the following:

    • Try out the meal plan and recipe suggestions I will give you

    • Are accurate and honest in reporting food in their journal

    • Engage their friends, family, and community for support

    • Learn to meal prep (I will help you with this)  and plan ahead for social events and traveling

    • Exercise in a way that is enjoyable for you and has variety (yoga, walking, pickleball, etc.)

    • Abstain from drinking alcohol or limit to 2 drinks per week

  • If you like to cook, I have great meal plans and recipes that are easy to prepare for you and for your family and friends. Clients who experiment with recipes at home tend to have the most rewarding and successful experience.

    But, many people do not know how to cook or have limited skills. I can help you navigate this with healthy takeout options, prepared options in grocery stores, or food services you can hire to help out.

  • Yes, many clients will have to travel for work or pleasure and eat out multiple times per week. I will help you navigate these and other types of social situations by providing strategies to manage craving, social food and drink pressure, and finding the best choices for you on any menu.

  • At times I can accommodate clients with medical concerns. I evaluate these on a case-by-case basis. 

    I do not accept clients who are pregnant, have an eating disorder or related mental or behavioral health problem, or any other unmanaged physical, psychological, or emotional condition that would present a risk.

    Though your program materials are under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and may not be shared, your NDA does not apply to your medical providers and I actively encourage you to consult your physician prior to beginning this or any other program. I am not a medical professional and I do not diagnose, treat or manage any disease. 

  • My program is a great complement to clients on a GLP-1 medication. It's also a great fit for those clients looking to successfully transition off of GLP-1 medications without regaining weight they've lost.

  • My program is based on Real, Whole Foods as nature intended—primarily plants and organic, lean protein. I largely avoid processed food, refined sugars, refined carbohydrates,  and other inflammatory, weight-gaining foods.

    While this program is not plant-based, it is plant-heavy, meaning I encourage clients to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.

  • Nope! My coaching is 100% virtual. I do all coaching over video calls, email, and text. 

    Please note I only work with clients in the United States, Canada, and the U.K. at this time.

  • It’s so worth it! Sure, it’s an investment but the payoff is a final weight loss and lifestyle solution that leaves you feeling incredible! The (less than $100 a week) investment is short-term (12 weeks) and your outcomes outlast the program. This program costs less than the cost of a girls weekend getaway or a wardrobe upgrade—and I can think of no better investment than a direct investment in you. Having lived my own transformation, I  promise you it’s worth it. You’ve spent a lifetime looking after others. It’s time to look after you.

  • A coach supports clients who have already expressed a desire to lose weight or adopt healthier habits. I do not screen or diagnose weight, nutrition, or medical issues.

    A coach is someone who: 

    • Understands the fundamental principles of weight loss physiology and the various factors that can influence weight. 

    • Provides advice and guidance as to changes a client can make to their diet and exercise routine.

    • Supports clients in the day-to-day adherence to healthy eating programs and positive behavior change. 

    • Appreciates the complexities that may arise with weight loss and lifestyle change and understands a client's unique bio individuality.

    • Acts as an advisor, cheerleader, and support system. 

    • Knows when to refer a client to other professionals for assistance when appropriate.
